The Canadian Arctic offers a blend of rich indigenous cultures, historic exploration routes, and diverse ecosystems. Itineraries often include visits to Baffin Island, the Northwest Passage, and other remote areas accessible only by expedition ships. Travelers can expect to encounter a variety of wildlife, including polar bears, narwhals, and seabird colonies, as well as opportunities to learn about Inuit traditions and history. These voyages provide a deep dive into the Arctic's cultural and natural heritage, set against a backdrop of stunning, icy landscapes.
Fly from a major city (like Toronto or Reykjavík) to Kangerlussuaq. After embarkation, cruise out through the fjord system into Baffin Bay.
Journey through the historic and remote Northwest Passage. Depending on ice and weather, visit sites such as:
-
Pond Inlet and its dramatic mountains and friendly Inuit community.
-
Beechey Island, the haunting Franklin Expedition gravesite.
-
Lancaster Sound, rich with marine life like narwhals and belugas.
-
Zodiac cruises past towering icebergs and tundra landings with local guides.
The itinerary may include cultural visits, wildlife encounters, and historical exploration. Flexibility is key due to shifting Arctic conditions.
Disembark in one of the remote Arctic communities. Charter flight back to a gateway city is typically included (please consult our team).

The newly refurbished Expedition is a classic polar vessel built for comfort, safety, and immersive exploration. With space for just 128 guests, this small ship allows for a more personal, community-focused experience and ensures everyone can participate in twice-daily landings (weather permitting).
Onboard, travelers will enjoy updated cabins with private bathrooms, cozy social areas, two jacuzzis, a gym, and a 24/7 beverage station. The ship’s high Ice Class 1A rating and upgraded stabilizers make for smooth sailing through icy waters, while its efficient, quieter engines help reduce environmental impact — so you can enjoy the sounds of nature while leaving a smaller footprint.
Perfectly sized for getting up close with the polar environment, the Expedition is your comfortable, adventure-ready for unforgettable journeys to the ends of the Earth.
